What is UCD Formula Hybrid Racing?
UC Davis Formula
Hybrid is a student research team that is challenged to design, build,
and race high-performance, plug-in hybrid vehicles. The students are
to build a vehicle that could potentially be sold to a manufacturing firm and be produced specifically for the weekend autocrosser market and
obviously it must be a hybrid. The intent is to provide
the engineering students with vital hands-on skills and experience as
well as a realistic view of this technology which will play an
important role to develop their career in engineering.
This project is quite intense and takes much time out of a student's schedule. For the students that are interested in becoming involved with this team, please email us at ucdformulahybrid@gmail.com. We are always looking for motivated and passionate individuals eager to learn and contribute to hybrid vehicle technology. This competition is intended to teach professionalism in engineering to students. For those that have an internal drive to strive for exceptional performance and professionalism in their work this competition is perfect for you and we highly urge you to join us! Take a look at what our team does! A collection of video clips from the 2011 competition with FH2. Competition tests all our hard work against other top engineering schools across the country. See how we did our second year out with our own fully designed car!
